Sorry it's taken me so long to post this but with Christmas and all of the hustle and bustle I didn't get around to it. Last week I received all of the goodies in the mail. They are various winning from different blogs and giveaways. I want to thank all of the wonderful people and businesses who allowed me to have FUN!

From Little Bits of This & That's blog I won these wonderful patterns. I have alot of This & That patterns and love them and luckly enough I didn't have any of these.  Thanks Sherri
From Kim Sherrod Studio's blog I won a $65 CSN gift cert and I bought these wonderful flannel sheets and shower curtain hooks. Thanks so much Kim.

The Charm Packs were what I used my $25 gift cert on that I won on the Fat Quarter Shop's newsletter drawing. Thanks to Fat Quarter Shop

The Mushroom Pincushion was from a Facebook drawing sponsered by Quilter's Newsletter. Thanks to them.

Weekend Retreat Accomplishments

Great Weekend with even greater friends. I'm very happy with what I got accomplished.

The snowman tablerunner is a kit I got from Connectiong Threads. Top is done now just have to get it sandwiched and quilted.
The baby quilt is made with some fun fabrics given to me by a friend.
And the big quilt is a mystery quilt. Lots of fun and love the outcome.

My 1st Mystery Quilt Retreat

I attended my first mystery quilt retreat a couple of weeks ago and I am just now getting around to posting a picture of my finished product. I left off the corner triangles because I liked the look as it was and decided to make a tablecloth out of it instead of a wall hanging. It was so much fun, I can't wait to do it again. I'm working on another mystery project for one of my guilds. Will post pictures of it when I am done.

Wonderful Winnings Arrived Today!

Last week I received and email from Crafter's Cottage that I won the newletter drawing of 25 fat 1/4s which I received today. I even got to pick the color ways that I wanted. Thanks Elaine and the Crafter's Cottage.

Guild Sew Day Today

Well one of the guilds I belong to had a sew day today. I worked on my mystery quilt and all the blocks done and 3 rows finished. I really think I'm going to like it. Will post pictures as soon as I get the top done.
Now to relax for a while.

Needing ideas for quilt guild this year.

I'm in charge of one of my quilt guilds programs this year. This guild is actually not just a quilting guild but a needlework. I think I could even do a program on another crafty thing that wasn't needlework.
Any new ideas?

Organizing My Sewing Room

I think I have come up with my master organizational plan for my sewing room.
Now I know that my plan will have to be
adjusted as I put it into effect.

I will give you my first few ideas and would
love to hear your hints or warning on
what has worked or not worked for you.

Fabric - all fabric on left side of my room,
which would include a closet and bookcase.

1. Closet
I have bins for sorting scraps into
             colorways and themes.
All batting on upper closet shelf.
         Tubs for flannel.
         Quilt tops to be quilted.
 2.  Bookcase
Pre-cuts such as charm squares ect.
Plastic totes or bags with kits divided
               into the following groups
Ready to sew kits-I've already gotten the
               pattern, fabrics and supplies completely
together and all initial cutting done.
Complete kits- Pattern and all fabrics
               and supplies together.
Kits in Progress-Pattern and any fabric
and or supplies I have started to gather
in a with shopping list on what is still
needed. It will be ready to go when
I hear the words "ROAD TRIP".

3. Cutting Station-On back wall between bookcases.
           Cutting Table with mat
Ruller Racks-both table and wall models.

4. Bookcase
           Pattern
           Books

I will also put other craft supplies such as knitting,
counted cross ect in some sort of organized system
and add them to the extra spots on pattern/books
bookshelf and also under the cutting station.

I know I have to still organize my ironing and sewing
areas but I think this may be the best place to start.

Well what do you think?

Retreat Accomplishments

I attended a retreat this weekend at a friend's house. Had a wonderful weekend.

This is a wallhanging I completed for my daughter with the Halloween birthday.  I still have to finish the one for me. And 2 of the other girls would like to have one also.

This next project was quite the challange. BUT well worth the effort. The center is actually woven. YES I said woven. It was not the normal weaving process. It was really something we had to pay attention to as we were doing it.

                                                                  WELL HERE IT IS!
You can actually stick you finger all the way through all the star pieces. It looks good here but even better in person.

We also worked on some placemats which I didn't get done yet!

Christmas Presents

This is one of the Christmas presents I've gotten done. I do have the binding on it now.
I will try to download somemore of my projects I've gotten done recently this weekend.
I have to get myself into a routine on keeping up with my blog.
I was so excited to see I now have 2 followers. I know it will take a while and I'm not the best storyteller, but I do think I will enjoy this.
I look at everyone elses blogs and wonder how long they felt like they just weren't interesting enough to have people come visit.
Please be patient with me.

UFO QUEEN

Last Thursday at one of the local guilds I belong to I was crowned UFO Queen. I had listed 12 UFO I had wanted completed in a couple of months. I didn't get all 12 finished but I did get 8 of them done. I also got several other small projects done (some were UFOs just not ones I had listed).
I'm just so happy to get some them done.
I do so love a challenge.
I'm working on getting somemore together and trying to recruit another of my guilds into doing the same thing.

Productive Day!

Well I managed to get one of my pinwheel quilts quilted today (on my home machine) and have it trimmed down for the binding. Will attempt to get that finished tomorrow night. It is one of 12 UFO's I need done by Thursday evening for a guild challenge. When this is finished I will have 8 of the 12 done.
More than I ever thought I would finish.
I will post pictures when it's finished.
Hopefully this blog will be more interesting one of these days.

Getting wet!

Well I've jumped in with both feet and hoping not to drown.
The photo on my blog is a gift that 3 of my grandchilden made for their Mom who has a Halloween birthday.
I will try to post some current projects asap.
Off to do a little more blog hopping and then to do laundry and sew.
